The Institute for Research, Innovation, and Technology (IPITEC) was founded on April 7th, 2009, originally under the name “Association of Women United for Peace.” Throughout its history, the organization has sought to promote its ideals of peace, citizenship, and social assistance.

About Us

On January 2nd, 2025, at a historic Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM), the Association underwent a significant restructuring. This crucial decision included changing its corporate name to “INSTITUTO DE PESQUISA INOVAÇÃO E TECNOLOGIA” (Institute for Research, Innovation, and Technology) and adopting the trade name “IPITEC,” reflecting a strategic expansion of its objectives and areas of activity to include scientific research and technological innovation more prominently, without losing its essence of social promotion and assistance.

It is important to note that between June 14, 2011, and December 18th, 2024, the Association faced a period of operational and financial inactivity. This phase was marked by challenges in mobilizing members and raising funds for projects. Transparency about this period is fundamental to the Institute, and the 2025 EGM represented a milestone of renewal and a reinforced commitment to its mission.
